Welcome to Day 6 of our empowering 14-day morning yoga program! Today, we'll delve into a sequence of Chair poses designed to fortify your legs and lower body. These poses are not only excellent for building strength but also for fostering stamina and unwavering focus. As always, your breath will be your guiding force, helping you maintain your energy and concentration throughout the practice.
What to Expect:
Chair Poses: Immerse yourself in a series of Chair poses that challenge your legs and lower body, transforming them into pillars of strength.
Breath as Your Ally: Discover the synergy between your breath and physical endurance. Allow your breath to be your constant companion, providing stamina and enhancing your mental focus.
Poses in Today's Class:
Chair Pose (Utkatasana): Begin by sinking into Chair Pose, as if sitting in an imaginary chair. Feel the strength and engagement in your legs and lower body as you hold this posture, and explore variations like arms overhead or hands at heart center.
Chair Twist (Parivrtta Utkatasana): From Chair Pose, bring your hands to your heart center and twist your upper body to the right. Feel the twist in your spine and the engagement in your core. Hold and breathe deeply.
High Lunge with Twist: Transition into a High Lunge with your right foot forward. Bend your right knee and sink into the lunge. Elevate your arms overhead, bending your elbows into a cactus shape. Feel the strength in your legs and upper body and maintain your breath awareness.
Chair with Eagle Arms: Return to Chair Pose and bring your right arm under your left, wrapping your forearms around each other. Sink your hips down and back, feeling the strength in your legs and upper body. Hold the pose and breathe deeply.
Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana): Conclude your Chair Flow practice with Goddess Pose. Widen your stance and sink into a wide-legged squat, arms extended at shoulder height. Feel the strength and engagement in your legs and lower body while maintaining breath awareness.
As you explore Chair Flow, remember that strength is built not only through physical effort but also through unwavering focus and determination. Allow your breath to sustain your stamina, and let your practice inspire you to persevere in all aspects of life. Enjoy the transformative effects of Day 6, as you strengthen your foundation and build resilience from within.
